It's nice to get assurance of where you're going with your life.
Today I was chosen by my professor to be a group leader to address issues in the other student's rap lyrics. We weren't chosen at random, she said she chose the student that she felt had background in this type of thing (well, that's paraphrased). I was shocked and nervous felt that I was not the best choice to critic these student's work. Once we got into the groups, it was like I went into auto-pilot. I made suggestions, asked questions, and made them read their work out-loud, etc. At one point, I made eye contact with my professor and she gave me a smile and a thumbs up. Wow. It really made me feel good. It makes me feel even better because this is a professor that doesn't really know me well, one that I haven't been giving my best work/effort to, and one that doesn't seem to like me that much still recognizes something in me. I feel so honored, really. I really like asking people about there work. Maybe she knows that I want to become a professor...
Hopefully, I can write my own lyrics to my own standards...ha!
