Tonight, we watched two movies Blue Valentine & Morning Glory (as a pick-me-up)
Basically, Blue Valentine was depressing, great film, but reality can be depressing... So we rented Morning Glory, a movie I really wanted to see for a while. Verdict: I LOVED IT. I wouldn't want to watch it over and over again though. Rachel McAdams character parallels with my personality almost too well. Making her work her life, rambles, awkward, but still leads a bunch of people successfully.

Where I Want To Be!

Update for those interested: I have the minimum requirements for my paper done!
I only have a few things to go over tomorrow! It's not perfect, but it's a rather strong paper for a three week class. Plus, it's 6 in the morning and I'm not falling asleep! I'm going to take a two-ish hour nap so my back doesn't hurt too badly tomorrow! This is exciting! It's nice to have a paper you're not completely ashamed of!

2 days.
Can't tell if these feelings are my own.
I wish I knew you better. I've felt for a long time that I wasn't allowed because secretly, we really do like each other. I think I'm only thinking these thoughts because they are more interesting than what I'm supposed to be doing...le sigh.
2 days of maymester left. Write paper, do presentation, turn in paper, HANG OUT.
I'm really excited about Nina's birthday then GOING HOME!! I hope June is better than what I'm expecting. July doesn't seem to come quick enough.

Film list!
I plan on upgrading my nerd/awesome status this summer. I'm starting it off right by taking 3 classes and reading the Princess Bride.
Both fortunately and unfortunately, my maymester class has helped me to develop a LONG list of movies I want to see. I'm going to include movies that are "Must Sees" such as: Star Wars, Hitchhiker's (& reading the book?), Pulp Fiction, Sabrina, etc. If you have any in mind, lemme know (ESPECIALLY if I can borrow a copy)! I also want to complete the thin man series, but that is easily done!
All areas of suggestion are welcome! :)

Majestic
His conviction in this film is outstanding. As Tori said, "It makes me feel patriotic." Me too. I'm not all that knowledgeable about politics and I don't support a lot of what our government does, but I am proud of people who are like this in real life.
While watching this movie, I kept thinking about Grandpa and my uncles who fought in wars. It's crazy what they have dealt with, especially afterwards. Fear is a monster, I would go as far as to say it's worse than war. It fucks up a lot more innocent lives and causes more war.
I've spent a lot of time today doing anything other than my homework. I watched a good deal of trailers for movies that are coming out this year. I have a long list already. I want to see so many.
4 more days. 5 1/2 until I go home!

Toda
The music here does effect how I feel when I get here. As does the number of people and the amount of noise they produce.
I want to start working, but this is too crazy, I know it's affecting me. I start to feel panicked and I feel like I should join people's conversations even though I don't know most of the people here. It looks so inviting.
Also, every song they play reminds me of Kate. Right now they are playing Adele and before Say Anything.
Jason's blog reminded me of her today too. All these signs to go visit her, yea? It was talking about the sadness that he's been feeling. He's committing to being grateful for the down moments and "treading the dark waters." If you know Kate at all, you'd understand. While I read it, I felt less alone. I've been thinking a lot about my self-determination as of late, especially when Jacob talks about his missing "Awesomeness." Self-motivation and dynamite determination. Doing it for you.
Last night, my roommates and I went to Kroger for our normal Sunday Shopping. On the way back we started to talk about the military and whether or not we think we could do it. I didn't speak until Tori asked me if I thought I could. And I think I could. Tori thought so too. It's nice to have people think you can deal with such difficult things. It's nice to know that I believe in myself too. I'm definitely able to put my emotions aside to get a job done, a product of my childhood. And if I make a decision, it's not often that I'll let it go without serious thought.
Through these thoughts, and others I've been thinking, I have it in me.
Time to change what needs to change, maintain what needs to be maintained, and get the job done all with fun, compassion, and passion.
"It takes a lot to always be on form."
This video is really gorgeous.

Without a Paddle
This is one of my favorite movies of all time is Without a Paddle.
Great story, great actors, great soundtrack.
Jerry is my favorite character,
"No worries, no responsibilities, just living in the moment."
