St. Louis

This weekend.

It's hard for me to describe it. It's funny how absolutely inspiring and completely frustrating it was. It's funny how nonchalant it all seems. Does that make sense? I should explain. I went through so many feelings in the last five days. I'm not going to talk about the negative aspects much because it could get me in trouble as well as make me feel gross. NACA is set up so that one is in the convention center from 8:40 until about midnight each night with only so much time to get food in between to make it back in time for the next thing. I watched in awe and sometimes boredom or restlessness when people performed. Mostly, I was in awe. There are so many talented people out there, did you know? I don't like to forget that, but it's a tad overwhelming when you compact it all like NACA does. I met HANSON. They weren't supposed to be there because they switched agencies and were not allowed to perform under a different one. So I almost fainted when I stumbled across them. I waited 40 minutes in a line to see Hanson among hundreds of other college students. If you are one of those people who don't think they're still a big deal. I can tell you right now, you're wrong. They were extremely genuine and took the time to speak to everyone even when the marketplace was shutting down.
Talent.

I met DAVE & ETHAN, the Makepeace Bros., Jeff Dye, and a ton of other people. Absolutely impressive. I learned a lot from the educational sessions, although, I have to admit, it's generally not the actual session that helps me. Event planning is thrilling. I have to keep that in mind. I have to convince them & myself, especially when it gets hard. Next year is going to be a completely different story than GC has ever seen CAB. Also, on a completely different note, I'm really pissed off about the armed farces meeting based off what I've heard happened. Sure, we got the microphones, but we need more. I'm not taking this shit lying down. We don't need shit. We need gold, baby.

This man made me cry in a room full of hundreds of people with his words. True power.

Can you hear that? Can you feel it?
It's the amp in my heart turning up to infinity.
Brace yourselves lads (& ladies), I am about to make this campus into something that everyone wants to be a part of.

P.S. I'm extremely grateful for the people in my life. My roommates are beautiful people. I don't understand how fortunate I am. I sincerely and genuinely don't get it. Let the positivity flow...

  1. I'm looking forward to at least one semester of amazing CAB events! You seem geared up for it and excited about it all which I think will make some great characteristics for a leader.

Carlos Robson was great. I hope we see performances with as much passion as that
